Computer Animation Languages

Computer 0 Comment »
  • Animation functions include a graphics editor, a keyframe generator, an in-between generator, and standard graphics routines.
  • The graphics editor allows to design and modify object shapes using spline surfaces, constructive solid geometry methods, or other representation schemes.
  • Scene description includes the positioning of objects and light sources, defining the photometric parameters, and setting the camera parameters.
  • Action specification involves the layout of motion paths for the objects and camera.
  • Keyframe systems are specialised animation languages designed simply to generate inbetweens from the user specified keyframes.
  • Parameterized systems allow object motion characteristics to specified as part of the object defination. The adjustable parameters control such object cahracteristic as degrees of freedom, motion limitations and allowable shape changes.
  • Scripting systems allow object specification and animation sequences to be defined with a user input script. From the script a library of various objests and motions can be constructed.

Advantages Of Interactive Graphics

Technology 0 Comment »
  • It provides a natural means of communicating with a computer, since the 2D and 3D pattern-recognition abilities allow us to perceive and process pictorial data rapidly and efficiently.
  • Creating and reproducing pictures is very much easy
  • We can produce pictures notly of concrete, but also of abstract , synthetic objects such as mathematical surfaces in 4D and of data that have no inherent geometry such as survey results.
  • With motion dynamics ,objects can be moved and tumbled with respect to a stationary observer. The objects and also remain stationary and the viewer can move around them, select the portin view, zoom in and out.
  • Interactive computer graphics extensive, high bandwidth user-computer interaction. It enhances our ability to understand data to create ‘virtual Worlds’.
